I Cry For My Country

by Emma   Apr 10, 2008

'Rule Britannia, Britannia rules the waves,
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves'.
The words ring out, loud and plain,
But those who are singing are singing in vain.
England forever! We can all say it loud
But we are losing the country of which we're so proud.
And while those across seas are wishing you ill,
England, my country, I cry for you still.
You're declining today and will be falling tomorrow,
As Blighty is sinking, we sink into sorrow.
