Getting Ready

It takes much more effort to get ready
Than all you men would care to think.
Whether we are going out to dinner
Or just up to the pub for a quick drink.

It's vital that we put our make-up on,
It's vital that not a colour can clash.
It's crucial that we straighten ev'ry hair
And that we lengthen every eyelash.

We know that it annoys you when we say
It's not possible to wear red with blue.
We only want to look nice for our men.
Know that we're only doing it for you.
