CLOUDS THAT RAIN DIAMOND DUST

by Ian Robert   Apr 11, 2008

Diamonds are falling down,
The ground glimmers like your lips,
Slicing my arms, the skin, it rips.

Im passive with a wind that blows,
Like barbwire fences that leave felons exposed,
All I know is that my hearts been picked apart by these crows.

Oh baby, diamonds are falling,
Hear the sound of my voice, its calling,
I never neglect, flawless complexion.

Only a reflection of whats inside you,
Maybe its true, our sky is falling to the hue,
Beautiful stars crashing down but really its so lovely.

Ah, wow. all of your poetry completely knocks me out, it's so refreshing. I love all of the comparisons you used in this, it was beautiful.
As soon as I read this:
"The ground glimmers like your lips,
Slicing my arms, the skin, it rips."
I was completely hooked. A flawless piece(:

This was very beautiful and unique. i loved it although i'm not quite sure i completely understood it...but the fact that it's a bit hard to understand makes it that much better.

this stanza was beautiful and it flowed perfectly...

    "Diamonds are falling down,
The ground glimmers like your lips,
Slicing my arms, the skin, it rips."

i also liked the ending. 5/5
