Morbid Romance

She Lay Upon The Tiled Floor, Drenched In Tears And Blood,
Staring At The Door Ahead, Wincing From The Cuts.
Her Eyes Were Glazed, Body Weak, Feeling Used And Sore,
Couldn't Move, Breathing Slow, Not Caring Anymore.
She Grabbed The Pills And Felt Them Slide Slowly Down Her Throat,
Took The Phone In Her Hand And Held Onto The Note.
The Phone Rang Twice Then It Stopped, He Answered, "Hello?"
Her Voice Began To Shake With Hate, "How Could You Let Me Go?"
Tears Filled Along Her Eyes, But She Refused To Cry,
"You Said You'd Never Let Me Go. Why'd You Have To Lie?
You Promised That You'd Be Right There To Help Me Through It All.
You Said You'd Catch Me If I Tripped, But Then You Let Me Fall.
Well, I Fell Deep Into The Ground, I Hope You're Satisfied.
I Know What You Did With Her, So Don't Act So Surprised."
She Clenched The Phone And Spoke To Him Her Very Final Words,
Filled With Hate, Filled With Truth, But Mostly Filled With Hurt,
"You Were The One That I Lived For, The Only One I Loved.
I'm Sorry I Wasn't The One, And Was Never Good Enough."
She Let The Tears Fall Down Her Face As She Hung Up The Phone
Letting Him Sit There With The Sound Of The Dial Tone.
His Heart Beat At A Faster Pace And Raced To Where She Lay.
He Saw Her Body Stiff And Bare, Eyes All Red And Glazed.
And Then He Saw The Scribbled Note Upon Her Beaten Chest.
The Endless Cuts, The Bullet Wound, The Room A Complete Mess.
He Fell Beside Her On His Knees And Read Her Longest Note
About The Boy That Made Her Smile, But Made Her Want To Choke.
The One She Loved More Than Life, But Gave Her Jealousness.
Made Her Feel Neglect And Hate And Robbed Her Happiness.
He Played The Games That Made Her Weep And Feel The Need To Die
And As He Read Her Morbid Tale, Tears Filled In His Eyes.
He Saw What He Had Truly Done, What His Games Had Caused.
And In The Mix Of It All, He Saw Who He Had Lost.
The Sun Began To Slowly Rise And There They Lay Together.
Blood Drenched Bodies, Pulse Erased, Cleared Away Forever.
His Head Lay On Her Bloody Chest, His Throat Sliced Right In Two.
The Note Clenched Tightly In His Hand, That Made Him Give Up, Too.
Below Her Letter He Had Wrote, Smeared With Salty Rain;
"I Can't Live Life Without Her, I Feel So Damn Ashamed.
I Made Her Think She Wasn't Enough, But That Was All A Lie.
Without Her In My Arms Tonight, I Know I Won't Survive.
She Thought I Hated Her, But She Never Really Knew,
That All This Time, From Day One, I Truly Loved Her, Too."
