Deja Vu

by Orchid Man   Apr 11, 2008

I wracked my mind so very hard, stood still and tried to recall
Your face; your voice; that beautiful look - you still have it all
Where were we when I had to leave you those many years ago?
Did I just glimpse you again then almost call out your name?

Orchid Lady I blinked my eyes then searched in vain for you
Sweetheart where are you? - Please don't leave me alone again
Losing you but once almost caused my heart to die in deep despair
If this has happened again I know my whole world will no longer have meaning.

I know your name commenced with an R, but I forget the other letters
I noticed your golden hair still adorns your face with its soft flawless features
This feeling of Deja Vu now surrounds my thinking like a silent thick mist
Am I to walk forever in search of the beautiful goddess of my past?

In haste I walk amongst the crowded streets bustling with many people
Forced on by that one glimpse that brought you flooding back in my mind
You were there R, you were there - I felt your presence move inside my body
As I hang my head in want, I see an orchid lying on the path in front of me.

Orchids were your favourite flower and I wonder did you leave me a sign?
This one beautiful orchid you may have dropped as you silently slipped away
Please my darling don't leave me again for my life is no life without you
I love you as much today as when we once had to part and I need you here.
