Although your love may have gone astray,
mine never really seemed to go away.
after we broke up i never let go,
i was just a cowardly to let it show.

but then you hooked up with her
& the world around became a blur.
i thought we could have been together;
make things right, even if it took forever.

but then i realized you were to good for me
