His Heart Bled

by Manders   Apr 11, 2008

He went to school
every single day
with his head held high
though he knew what they'd say
He took their beatings
and their hurtful words
just kept on walking
nobody else heard
and behind his eyes
the tears would hide
but he could never cry

Like it always will
the bad went to worse
with every hit
and every word
Until one day
when the the boy had enough
he took a gun to school
just to shut them up
Bloody rampage
pain filled cries
he stood over them laughing
as he watched them die

Now standing on the roof
overlooking the edge
he put the gun in his mouth
but from his heart he bled

All he wanted in life
was to be loved
all he needed
was the girl he dreamed of
He pulled the trigger
but only heard her voice
the ground comes closer
but he had no choice

He hit the ground
he saw her face
but inside he knew
he had lost this race
she loved him
as a friend and nothing more
she was the reason
he closed that final door.

***I know it's kinda long sorry***
