Death Is The Conductor

Btw you will need to actually look at the picture while you read this to see what I mean at the end...

A haze of black
Up in the sky
Death says hello
Not goodbye
One black spot
It's not saturation
One black cloud
On isolation
The sky about it
It's all so white
Heavenly times
It's alright
The water below
Is all so clear
Nothing to been seen
Nothing to fear

Death is the conductor
Her and black dress
Waving her wand
To cause a great mess
Ruled by this girl
Standing at the back
Smiling happily
At the new attack
Raise the stick of suicide
And thrust it down
To steal the show
To own the crown

Wrapped up by life
Tied down to live
To never receive
Only to give
Still, lyrist plays on...
Still, you fight again
To one day hope
The conductor wont remain
Forget your woes, friend
And play the lyre to her
Maybe she might go away
But does death ever blur?

Can you watch yourself
Fall into despair?
The picture is infront of you
Do you see you there?
A suicide trigger?
It's "helping hand"?
The lyre itself?
Or the "one man band"?

A picture can tell a thousand stories, or in this case nightmares!

I never uses to be a lover of 'dark' poetry, but now I have been taken over by the dark side!LOL

Your poem is a great interpretation of this picture. It is both literal and metaphorical. It has depth and simplicity. In short it is a wonderfully woven piece.

If we allow our fears dictate our actions we will remain its' slave.

    Well done
