Steady tapping

by Lacie   Apr 12, 2008

You hear a tapping,
steady and bold.

Where it comes from,
no one knows.

Those who find it,
never return.

Still the tapping,
They never learn.

Sometimes it mellows,
Slows, then quits.

All because people,
ignorant bliss.

It slows the tapping,
it leaves it's home.

Look there it goes,
claiming yet another soul.

Why it goes,
Only i know.

Because I'm the one,
who's forced to go.

They send me to claim,
people who try, to escape my wondering eyes.

I know what most people can do,
Come to my coffin, and I'll show you.

Follow the screaming, the blood,
and the ooze.

The restless souls,
And howls of thunder.

Lift up the lid,
come in, come in.

Join me in the lasting life,
death to be, you loving wife.
