Here Not There

Somebody take my small dream and send it down the road
Home-made quilt gave me enough sense back home
Bright-eyed six year old on the verge of becoming a monster
Dancing girl on a plastic floor never looked so mistaken
A beautiful cherry tree crumbles onto grass painted black
Love help me from myself, starve every bit of affection
For I am taking my small dream and sending it down the road

Somebody take my only home and send it down the west coast
A relaxing mist will bring me only a slight bit of nightmares
Painfully cries sound out as I panic, throwing myself into the sand
Wrap me up mother, leave me tonight, have your fun
I'll dance for all the open windows and bring out the humor in this
I will walk down the sidewalk hoping I hear heels hit the cracks
Running from the dark trees glaring at our disconnected phones

Oh just poison me mother
I can't take this anymore
Poison me, get it over with
I love how it feels
Poison me, now
I promise I will make myself love it
