No Skin

by Cooper   Apr 12, 2008

*Written as more of a song. But it works as a poem*

No skin,
my sanity, my twin,
naked against the red sky
morning after
mourn me a disaster
no skin,
memories within.

Endless
all this grief
it's my belief
that I'm immortal
No skin, all within,
I've got God backwards

Enter this dark place
Show me your crying face
I'll eat your tears and your sorrows
I'm walking where ever she goes

No skin!
my loneliness, my kin!
Naked within the black oceans
looking away
give me another day
No skin
It's raining within.

Hell,
cold jail cell
another suicide
another dead
no skin, all lost souls inside
every moment; blood shed
no skin, nothing I decide.

Is there something wrong?
we're not all ten-thousand strong,
was there something to tell me?
the light isn't something all of us can see.

No skin,
flesh wound,
the unliving licking my bones.
No skin,
this is what I keep within,
all for you,
all for life,
Here I am at your side, (guardian angel)
even if you choose to die.

Wow! Amazing, truly fascinating poem. Rhyming is truly creative and refreshing and I admire whole idea of this piece. I must say that you again absolutely impressed me, your choice of words is great and you expressed so much through the each stanza.
Bravo! I enjoyed very much in this, it would actually be incredible song.
