Justice Network

by Michael D Nalley   Apr 12, 2008

Sometimes it makes me go so berserk
When I think of your rebellious smirk
While you demanded I leave you and him alone
You know I wanted to call 911 on the phone

You and your client looked so content
With no desire whatsoever to repent
You told me that it was your bed room
Because once I was your wed groom

I thought about the why's and how's
Of our perverted weddings vows
All I could feel was anger and shame
That is when I called you that name

Are you stuck with the Memphis blues?
Or are you happy with the paths you choose
I believe I could arrange reunion there
Would you like to change, or do you care?

You called justice network from the jail
With a plan that you thought couldn't fail
Can we always escape justice, by the way?
Or do you think it will catch up to us some day?

My favorite two stanzas in this were the thrird and forth ones, because they flowed well, and had good rhyme, but also because of the second lines in both of them, which I felt were both equally well written.

This poem is sad, it fits the sad poems section more than the friendship poems one. I liked the choosing of words which made the idea stronger. The rhymes were good and the flow was fine. Good work 5/5
