The Dove On My Cross

by LitxUpxWithxLife   Apr 12, 2008

You whispered sweet nothings in my ear.
All the while for just me to hear.
I loved you for so long and with all of my heart.
But the words we said left the taste on my tongue tart.
You were cold and shallow, you told me I wasn't worth it.
The things I could have said, but kept my tongue bit.
So take these words and do what them what you would like.
You meant everything to me and if it meant that much, 350 miles I would hike.
Just to be there with you, and hear that one song.
I would have listened to it again and again all year long.
But I have lost you to some other guy.
My heart was yours, and without you I'll die
So dig my grave and dig it deep and on the top place a dove.
And let it be know to all, I died for love.
