She left her house on a mission
A teenage with a big decision
A party at a house
So she sneaks out like a mouse
She has fun with her friends
But the night is not at end
She drinks and ends up in bed
Next morning she hopes its all in her head
She heads home to be scolded
A young adult yet to be molded
Memories keep coming from her head
Every night she goes to bed
She drives to a quiet place to drink
To forget everything she might think
Out of her mind in a better place
Her parents start to pace
Father grabs the keys
To end mother's pleas
The teen starts on the road
The father starts the engine, the night air very cold
Father and daughter find each other
Hours later a police officer tells the mother
Mother cannot breath, cannot eat, cannot sleep
So a bottle of liquor by her side she will keep
Each day she fights to forget
To live in the past, her mind is set
Days go by
But the pain is still too high
With a bottle she ends her life
No longer a person, mother, or wife
Now together they stand
Looking upon the ocean by the sand
But their family is not yet complete
There stands a boy in black all dressed and neat
He watched as they lay his sister and father
Now he watches upon his mother
The seven year old by wants his mom and dad
His grandmother looks down at him very sad
His family was torn apart by alcohol
And he makes a promise as into the trap, he will never fall
As his life moves
The pieces soothes
He lives and enjoys his life
And ended with kids and a wife
But he still will pay
For that one decision by his sister to this day
But his life was joyous and at the end
The whole heart is joined together again
