I glanced in the room, seeking a reply,
Waiting so still, my heart was in a daze.
Staring right close at you, so fast time flies,
All I ever wanted was your sweet gaze.
Yearning for your touch, your breath on my neck,
If only the truth slipped from my closed lips.
Scared of the bitter words from hard reject,
My heart hurts so dear, my confused mind flips.
But the truth untold runs all through my head,
As I try to silence the loud beeping.
It keeps me thinking of you, whilst in bed,
The reserved secret keeps me from sleeping.
I lay still every night, with thoughts of you,
Hoping that one day my wish will come true.
