Explosion

by StandStill   Apr 13, 2008

Darkened grey caves
hidden secrets in dark
in a world full of grey
flickers a single spark

From that spark
all of life is born
for time marches on
even when hearts get torn

Corners of a mind
are a dark, grey place
fallen stars are just
disguised angels fallen from grace

Crash and burn
another break
how cracks
can one heart take?

But this flame ignites
and lights the world
around a fragile wick
eternity is twirled

The light is growing
every day
color seeps back in
disappears the grey

Explosive color
exotic and rich
wounded hearts
with love are stitched

Explosions of light
and goodbye waves the grey
out from the caves and into the light
blind bats lead the way
