My Heart

I have not written a poem in so long
My heart had grown cold and strong,
But now someone has weakened me
I hate this helpless person I soon shall be.

Close back, don't open, don't let anyone in
The last time the pain you caused felt worse than sin,
I have no control over you, why oh why?
It's a scary feeling how easily you can make me cry.

Happiness or sadness, which shall it be
It's always either one, the future I cannot see,
But still I realize he has found this key
Does he know he has it, or care to see,

Yet here I am with me and my wide open heart
Only for you, if you wish to be apart.
