The Hues Of My Life

by LitxUpxWithxLife   Apr 14, 2008

He asked God, why can I not escape this dream?
Then lifted his head and roared out a primal scream.
He screamed to let go of the pain and anger that plagued his life.
He couldn't take anymore of the tears, the burning, or the sting of the knife.
Where have all the happy and beautiful things gone to.
Where is the green, orange, yellow, pink, white, and blue?
They have left me alone with black and red.
The red of the blood, and black of the dead.
These two colors have become infused with my very soul.
Anger and hurt are now filling this blank, empty hole.
The hole that once held my pride and my heart.
But it's dead now, lying on the floor, ripped apart.

Awesome poem. Filled with deep emotions yet again, and a wonderful rhyme scheme that continued throughout the entirety of the poem. Great work. 5/5.

    Very Passionate, Touching poem.

The hole that once held my pride and my heart.
But it's dead now, lying on the floor, ripped apart.

It seems to put many feelings into words that many people wouldn't be able to explain.

    excellent job,
