Ravaging of Time (495)

by NinjaGirl   Apr 14, 2008

Is it love that keeps me here
Controlled by my own fears
In a completely different time
In a life that is not mine.

I feel so high, so far
Viewing life from beyond the stars
A world of horrible war and ugly hate
Death, a humans fate.

I feel like I can fly
As I float up, way up high
I'm feeling numb inside
Like I want to cry.

I want to cry because
You're not here with me
You're down there on earth
With her.

I don't know what to do
To hurt her would be to hurt you
I would never hurt you, even if I tried
Because I love you, truly.

I guess I'm the one to blame,
The fault is all mine
You can't survive forever
Within the ravaging of time,

But I couldn't survive forever, anyway,
Knowing that you're not mine,
And knowing that you're hers
And the fault, it is all mine.

~For Daimon: the fault, it is all mine~

I've fallen in love with this poem. The way you started it was touching and right through the end it was breath taking.
