Night Dance

by Naomi Lynn   Apr 15, 2008

The wind blows

The shadows fall

The sun is sinking low

The pale light

Is growing fast

From the radiant stars aglow

They dance and sing

From the heavens above

Creating a glassy song

And for 12 short hours

Of pale moonlight

The world will sing along

The cricket sings his cheerful song

To join the chorus above

The lightning bugs dance, twirl, and flash

In a quiet symphony of love

For when the day sleeps

And you are in dreams

The night will dance and play

For soon the sky will stream with gold

To welcome the coming day
