Cry Not Sweet Child

by Naomi Lynn   Apr 15, 2008

Cry not sweet child,

the night is done,

Fear not sweet child,

the dance has begun,

your once tearful song,

has been veiled with light,

no longer must you hide,

within the shadows of the night,

No longer must you run,

sweet child of tears,

no longer must your steps,

be haunted by fears,

though death crawled upon you,

while you were deep in your sleep,

no more cold homeless nights,

you are safe in the Lords keep,

Cry not sweet child,

the night is done,

now sing sweet child,

you have risen to find the sun.
