Summer daze at the beach, in the rivers, and on the streets.
Sunny days and party nights,
Concerts at Konocti and watching fights.
Big river fires burning bright, swimming in phosphorescences during dark nights.
Injuries causing life long scars,
Sitting in the street, playing guitar.
Cars blazing while taking keg stands,
Shot gunning cheap beer that comes in cheap cans,
Sitting in bushes,
Smoking weed, down in Mendo where the weed is green.
Don't forget Sunday when we play ball,
And drink all sorts of alcohol.
Take me back to Sierra Nevada just one more time,
So I can listen to those oh so sweet rhymes.
3,000 miles I put on my car,
To Bonneville, Eureka, and Williams when we went too far.
Free tickets down to Reggae,
Dancing, tripping, and watching bands play
Trippy lights, exotic delights,
Taking my mind to mind blowing heights.
Remember that night on the trampoline?
Drinking tequila and the dancing scene?
Smoking and chillin' at the Headlands by the sea
Or hangin' at the coffee house drinking hot tea.
Hanging with friends, playing beer pong.
Smoking good weed out of good bongs.
Bubbly champaign to my delight,
And creamy poppers to settle the appetite.
Camping in the cold, cold night,
With nature walks that give insight,
Wandering on LSD and that one time I took ecstasy.
Slow down before your mind implodes,
We walk down the street where our minds erodes,
Embedding deep into the ground,
Throughout Mendo our memories are found.
So many people to meet
So many people to greet,
And it made my summer oh so sweet.
To so many I've said goodbye,
As this epic summer ends,
I hold my head up high.
