Where does the Time go?

by lisa   May 25, 2004

Oh to be a child again, the best time of my life,
For now I am 14 years of age and can not turn back the clock.
To be able to play in school again maybe tic, rounders or skipping
But no, you would not do this in high school (unless you want a beating)
Childhood, I really miss it. Why did I not see?
It is when you are a child when you live most freely
I know homework can be annoying and school can be a bore
But it is nothing compared to how you will feel when you are, say 44.
One day I will be a mother and have children of my own
And then time will slip even quicker and they too will have grown.
Then I will be even older with grandchildren, maybe 3
And their time will slip too, I just hope they live childhood to the full and not be foolish like me!
