Rusted Wings

by Amber   Apr 15, 2008

There I once was flying
in the sky without a worry.
But now I find myself crying
and I just wish I could hurry
up and dry these tears, I just
want to go back into the sky
but your love caused my wings to rust.
Please let me go, How can you deny
me the love of someone better than
you? How come you will not let me
fly anymore? Why did you ban
me from the sky, I wish to flee
from this love of yours that is keeping
my wings chained to the ground.
Please I wish to stop weeping.
I wish to be freed and be found
by another angel, an angel whose
love for me can break your hold
on me. This angel will cover the bruise
you left on me. Atleast he would have a heart of gold.
But for now I will stay chained while
my wings continue to rust.
