Put Your Mind To Heart

by RB   Apr 15, 2008

Just stop and take a minute to put your mind to heart,
And let go of holding back those salty ocean inhibitions.
For holding go and letting back isn't making much sense,
And swimming in your fears is the only way to freedom.

So prove yourself survival is not out of these realities,
And find yourself some footing on this hardly solid ground,
Because it's the emotional emotionless state you're stuck in,
That's making you feel incompatibly sideways and mismatched.

Sometimes inconsistency is the only way to grasp consistence,
And breaking down is the first step to standing back up,
But it's up to you to finally put your mind to heart,
And attain that unattainable connection between the two.

To fear love is to fear life, and right now you fear it all,
So you lack the understanding necessary for us to be together,
For even I have faced this fear that you will never come around,
And embracing all that you could be seems to be the unimaginable.

I know I've almost pushed you to the point of emotional acceptance,
But one step closer to grasping nothing and I am sure to give up,
For you are terribly stubborn in facing the greatness you possess,
And being your savior has dwindled me to be in need of my own.

Broken steps and rocky paths don't seem to be backing down,
So it's time let go of holding back those salty ocean inhibitions,
Because my eyes can only guide your blindness for so long,
And eventually my heart will no longer beat for you.
