Deluded

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 17, 2008

Even if you don't, she whispered,
Say it all the same,
For tonight,
It feels so right,
Come wallow in my flame.

Living worlds that melt away,
Lay scattered on the floor,
A sea of sin,
To bathe within,
Think not, just explore.

This aching hunger deep inside,
The thirst I cannot take,
Quench it all,
Before we fall,
Before the sun can wake.

Swim inside my sea of lust,
Drown inside my wave,
Let passion be,
No subtlety,
Give me what I crave.

I loved it. I'm not usually one for love poems but the title caught my eye. This rhyme scheme is unusual but i really liked it. It fit the poem very well. The word choice was good and it was short yet effective. (I think that's the right word) My favorite stanza was the third one. ^.^
