I need you

by Orchid Man   Apr 17, 2008

As I stared into the crowd I could not see your smiling face
I felt lost and so alone amidst a sea of silent faceless people
Unrecognisable people; remaining totally without feature.......
each with private thoughts of their own, but I sought only you.

From early days long past when you freely gave me your hand
I needed no other to brighten my life than my own Orchid Lady
For in your arms I had found peace and safety laced with loving care
I ask, what man alive could wish for more than you have given me?

To waken each morning to the sound of your soft soothing voice
fills me with adoration and longing for your morning embrace
Should you be sleeping within your own dreams of paradise -
I will be laying here beside you gazing at the face of a living angel.

In truth I wouldn't move in case I broke your dream of wonder
Yet in my mind I always wanted to wake you and hold you to me
Darling I am always impatient to have you encased in my arms
For you are a 'wonder' society has yet to place amongst listed others'.

My thoughts take me back to the moments of our first meeting
You were standing on a wooden bridge then, caught me with your eye
At that moment as your bright green eyes met the green of my own.......
a bonding of love and need for each other flowed through our bodies.

With shyness as our companion we walked together down a winding road
I reached for your hand and you willingly held mine with a tightness of purpose
As I turned to ask you your name I saw the rouge adorning your cheeks
Oh, Orchid Lady it was then I knew we were born to love each other for always.

Today as I search crowded throngs looking for you - the angel God sent to earth for me
My lonely heart draws me ever closer to you and an inner peace stirs within my body
I see you my orchid; your blonde hair restless in the morning breeze looks like gold dust
Then once more our green eyes meet, signalling love is alive and will always remain.
