Fighter

Did you ever want to help someone so bad
Did you wish that you could take away the pain they had
It's so sad - when there's no padding
Passing through the bad things
But experience the bad things bring

There are times where you don't even wanna reach
Out for the hand in front of you, nothing you wanna do
Is what you're gonna do, even looking up at the sky
All the clouds and the sun are blue

You've got yourself a lot of greif
Like the last autumn leaf, stuck in the snow
Freezing on Christmas Eve
But you gotta start digging - roll your sleeves up
Give it all you got, don't let the pain eavesdrop

You fight the fever but you know it'll run its course
You get a bleeder but you still fight with no remorse
You fight the symptoms of a neverending source
Pain will always be there, just show the pain who's boss
If you let it get the best of you you're gonna lose
Pain gets everyone, it don't discriminate or choose
But in twos we can fight these blues
Me and you, we'll be just like new
