Martha

by Lacie   Apr 18, 2008

People try to control her,
They make her play along.
Do they care about her feelings?
Do they know that they are wrong?

Shes tried to say no once or twice
But do they listen?
no
They just go on with there ways of trying to belong

They see her not as what she is
But how she can help them
Do they even care about?
There half hearted friendship?

She cares allot, she always has
So shes keeps her voice down low
She lets them control her every day
In every way.

In my eyes shes strong and nice,
But what about there eyes,
What do they see her as?
A golden ticket, a free to go pass?

She pulled me aside a while ago,
Dwelling tears in her eyes.
Told me that shes tired of this,
And said were best friends again.

She knows i only want to help,
And try to chase them away,
But they pull and tug on her arms,
Try to lead her away.

I try to help in most every way,
Always when she asks,
But because of her loving heart,
She doesn't leave them behind.

She knows they don't make her happy,
Or help in any way,
But that love filled heart of hers,
Keeps giving the key away.

For my best friend Martha who's other friends try to control her, they don't care about her happiness they just care about the popularity Martha can offer them, So they make her do things she doesn't want to do, and that makes her unhappy, and i want her to know, I'm always here. I always have been and i always will be and i will always try to help. no matter what.

This poems for you Martha.
