Her mask

by Lacie   Apr 18, 2008

She wears the mask to hide her pain,
smiles is what the world sees.

Never frowning or so you think,
Happiness is all you see.

Behind the mask lies,
Pain and shame

In the words she slowly speaks,
Is sadness, lose, nothing to gain.

The hands she has,
tremble and shake.

She hide them in her pockets,
She dosen't let anyone see.

The fear of being though of as weak,
Only slows her rate to speak.

She knows shes strong,
She hides her pain.

Wears the mask of smiles and shame.

She never ever takes if off,
and never does she cry.

She knows shes strong,
The will to fight,

But still she hides that face of hers,
Behind the mask's thats wrong.

Her parents do not even know,
The pain that hides within it all.

She hides it well and fears the truth,
The truth of being cough.

She dosen't want to lose the only,
Thing that shes got.

The mask is Hers to hide her pain,
some day she'll take it off.

The mask that hides the real face,
Of shame, pain, and loss
