How to say goodbye...

by Hear You Me   Apr 18, 2008

Lean your body in close,
Feel the warmth of your breath reflected,
Whisper softly in their ear,
Immense eternal love's projected,

Clasp their cold hand with intention,
Of never letting go,
Now, no whisper or mention,
Of hurt unbelievably close,

Their eyes flutter under a spell,
Their chest feebly falls,
You choke a final fearful farewell,
The end will not be stalled,

There is no need for words or strength,
Tears fall with painful ease,
To feel the significance of love's last breath,
To witness a beloved deceased.
