I see her bright light
And every thing's right.
Because she's back into my life
And nobody can do us strife.
Too many nights alone spent
Taught me that a heart isn't lent
But won over by the content
Who give smiles away for gifts
And never have time for descent
Into the deepness of lament.
They come with smiles,
They bring their kids.
They have new styles
To open all closed lids.
And she opens my lids
With her brand new smile
That is only stronger now
After walking those painful miles.
Old grandmothers tell the story
Of the love that was so evil
That it destroyed every glory
That was built on an upheaval
And then rolled down the weevils.
But I don't see any weevils
And I can't find the evils.
I just see you in front of me
And I know all I need to be.
When you take my hand I'm free
And your ankle's fine again, see?
I'm holding you on my shoulders,
And love only warms the beholders
So everybody else is colder
And hard like a boulder
That kills everyone as it rolls over.
