Soon Dead

by brie kelly wise   Apr 19, 2008

Darkness in halos over a dead little bed
A small girl strangling her bear's head
Dead silence fills in every corner
The length of her hope is growing shorter

Ivy on the walls, metal covering the window
Lace on the moon reaches the stars too slow
Crawl into the blankets and cover your head
For tonight's just the start of a life that will soon be dead
