How To Write a Sad Poem

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Apr 19, 2008

Writing a sad poem
Before you pick your pen
you need an open wound
Broken heart that you can't mend

Step 1: Fall for someone
Tho they'll never fall for you
Step 2: Believe all the dreams
Because they won't come true

You're ready to be broken
Dear Reader, don't you see?
You have fallen for someone
But a friend you'll always be

Now pick up your pen
And write out shards of heart
Let the tears fall on your paper
They tell you where to start

But don't let step 1&2
Get to deep in your head
Sometimes poems are just words
Words best left unsaid

Cause maybe one day they'll fall for you
But thats not true for me
That is why they all love my poems
Cause a friend I'll always be

No good poem, however confessional it may be, is just a self-expression. Who on earth would claim that the pearl expresses the oyster? ~C. Day Lewis

Wow, very true poem. excet the part were it said it's not true 4 u, u can't predict the future and u got 2 stop dwelling on the past. just live in the moments! cause that's all u have that u can change. 5/5

Sad, but maybe one day she will fall for you, or unfortunatly it's just not meant to be, but this was good, liked this part alot:
