911, what is your emergency?

by StandStill   Apr 20, 2008

She stands there
so lost..so alone
calling for help
but no one answers the phone

Her heart is burning
where are the police?!
and blood is spilling
guilt, not release..

_______________________

By the time they get there
they're far too late
she dialed 911
and her emergency she did state

"Somebody, save me
I'm drowning in fear!"
"Just stay calm," said the voice,
"Help's on the way, dear"

But when they got there
her saviours were shocked
the fire had burned through
and the doors were all locked

She'd been trapped inside
Oh, so alone
just her conscience and her
her heart's sickening tone

The arson portrayed
and she killed herself, love
ashes float on the wind
her soul to heaven above

No more fear of falling
just a release from the pain
the world lost her now,
but she only gained
