Do you have remorse?

by Michael D Nalley   Apr 20, 2008

Do you have any remorse?
No one wants pain of course
Do you blame me for the divorce?
Did you use too much force?

I do have a lot of sad shame
For calling you that bad name
But when you act like a tramp
You're bound to wear a stamp

Did you think you had me licked?
When I was stomped and kicked
Did you believe you were wining?
While you just sat there grinning

I'm going to make sure you have time
To think about your hateful crime
You should have time for God
While you reflect upon your fraud

I liked what the piece was about, and it was very well written, but I didn't like the first stanza only because every line rhymed, and it, in a weird way, meddled with the flow, but each line itself, or as couplets were great.

Understanding the context a little more from PM's, I get this one completely. There is a lot of perceived venom, though total restraint was pretty much in hand. You made your feelings clear as day, and it read beautifully for me. Great job again!!! 5/5!!! ~Anita

This seemed like a very angry poem.
The rhymes seemed a little forced.
But overall I enjoyed the read. The story behind it is not a good thing, but the fact that you were able to let your feelings out in it, was good.

    5/5
