Songs of the wind and starlight ((invisible boy))

by StandStill   Apr 21, 2008

Reader, feel the breeze
as it brushes your cheek
try to close up your eyes
before tears they do leak

The starlight in your hair
do you hear how it sings?
bursting forth from the abyss
echoing off, it rings

The starlight and the wind
they've written a song, my dear
a tragic tale and tune of a boy
ridden with doubt and fear

He was so alive in this world
but felt colorless and dull
feeling depression's rough edges
into darkness he was pulled

And an alleged angel
she tried so hard to hold on
she couldn't open his eyes
but tried, dusk until dawn

He slipped into non-existance
and she hid, sad and alone
unable to see the invisible boy
and she was so far gone

So while he slipped away
lillac memories on the breeze
she sat, so afraid
and by pain she was seized

Beautiful crimson artwork
now drips down its canvas
all because the invisible boy
threw a rock into his own house of glass

He gave up on himself
it was a fact she couldn't fight
so now constant memories are whispered
Listen for the song the wind and starlight

*I hope to God it never comes to this...you know who you are*
