Vigilante Justice

by Michael D Nalley   Apr 21, 2008

Of the kinds of justice there may be two
The vigilantes avoid the process due
They are the false jury and blind judge
The punishment is often based on a grudge

The victim is denied a just and fair trail
It seems a lawless attack is just their style
Though their charges may be unfounded
The speed of their judgment to them is grounded

Vengeance belonging to the Lord each man understands
Yet many take it and the laws into their own hands
It may be true that just and due process may take too long
But taking the law into our own hands is just plain wrong

Very, very nicely written, as usual. I loved it all, the rhymes, rhythm, structure, theme, lines, wording, it was all great!

I really liked it, as I have most of your work that I have managed to get to thus far. While the thought and directions were clear, for some reason this one just didn't have the "status" that I have now COME to expect from you. While still a great read, certainly not the best you have to offer by far!!! ~Anita
