Inside I ached

by Orchid Man   Apr 21, 2008

My love, yesterday you could not spend time with me and I was left completely alone
Nothing was the same; no matter what I tried to do or wherever I stared.......
....blank walls were my companion and nothing felt familiar or as vital to me as you
I felt as though I could see you, yet the road had no ending and I walked endlessly toward you.

Never in my lifetime had I imagined not being beside the woman who means everything to me
I tried to picture a flower unadorned with ample petals being unable to reach the sun's vital rays
Now I know what being without you feels like and to be alone as I was, had no champion
No sound of your heavenly voice soothed my searching ears - just a deafening day of silence.

It is written, "Of all the jewels thou cans't desire, none are to be compared unto her"
The one jewel I desired beside me was missing and the words of that statement struck home
How can a day pass without you being part of my life - providing me with a deep need for you?
Without my Orchid Lady here to beautify my eyes the spell of Mother Nature's magic would not be.

Emptiness has no beauty; there is nothing there but emptiness; such as a sky bereft of vital clouds
A day without a dawn would cause all life to live in total darkness - life would simply cease
My saving grace was the moment I looked up and saw you standing before me with your loving smile
You were home again and life began anew, removing the loneliness that had haunted me - you were home!
