Longevity

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Apr 21, 2008

The hand of Longevity brushes the cool water of time
sending ripples of age through her reflection

I wonder what happens when we die?

is there anyone there to meet us?
Or does it end...as do all things worth having?

Longevity straightens herself, and gazes out
over the warm brightness of hope

She's not thinking of anything but now.

Is that not against her nature?
Is she not meant to think of forever?

"Things are not always as they seem"
she whispers in the ear of Death

they both giggle, and continue on, holding hands

does she not fear his touch?
does she not draw back at his glance?

Death gazes at Longevity, and uses his pale hand
to caress the warmth of her face

Longevity crumbles.

This poem made me stare out in blank space for like an hour! no kidding! it's riddled with hopes, fears and a language that'll paint images in your head till you fall backwards!

If you wonder what happens after we die.. Well..there is basicly two different view. One is religious view and another is biological.

Death is the end of life.. What happens after we have no first hand experience.

Those who does not believe in hereafter...they might think after heart stops beating we stop feeling anything and that's it.. And those who believe feel happy because hereafter is a better than any other place we have been..

Well, how ever there is no arguments which is the truth for human beings.. We can not scientific way proof there is God, either there is not.
