How Deep? Better Than Being Alone on Land

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Apr 21, 2008

Whisper, dear reader
Bitter hiss in this word
Alone: screaming underwater
Where your screaming isn't heard

How deep in this black lake?
How deep must you go?
How deep till your violent screams
Are too soft for anyone to know

How deep must a poet be?
In his insecurities and fears
How deep till the reader
Is shedding poet's tears?

How deep in the ocean?
Till your perfectly alone
Not even nightmare sea monsters
Would call this place home

"Perfectly alone"
Ironic thing to say
Nothing perfect about being alone
I guess it's meant to be that way

How deep must you go?
Till you no longer feel the sand
You ask me if I'm going swimming alone
It's better than being alone on land

I just came to check something, I'm sick. So you don't get the explaination of why i cried. It's a great poem...

^ ironic. that's all i will say....alone is beautiful when you stop caring...when nobody even gives a crap any more, how you can't help a single person. alone is so beautiful.

great job. thought i'd let you know, he gets the girl at the end of the book...and it's not a flipping fairy tale.
