Loneliness is a personal feeling

by Orchid Man   Apr 21, 2008

Loneliness is such a personal feeling - it cares for itself only
No one else can feel the longing living inside another person.......
ever ready to rear its ugly head whenever it feels the right time has arrived
Then it finds time to come out of hiding and cause misery
No telephones answering a frantically dialled number.......
only a silence like an eerie morning in a shrouded forest
Not even a humming bird's wings can break the stillness.......
incessantly beating as it eagerly searches for nectar
Nor is a seashell silent, as Nature gave it resonance
Within a shell's interior there lays the sound of an echo
The rustle of a disturbance as an enquiring ear listens
With no one around or near, loneliness will continue to breed
It carries its uncaring way of living throughout a day or night
Darling, inside I have a feeling that something will happen.......
yet I wait while that awful silence continues to plague my very thoughts
Sitting alone with my thoughts, there is no sound to this haunting silence
Not even the sound of my own breathing penetrates an ear
A thought comes to mind explaining nature's unshared loneliness
Does a single falling leaf drop dizzily to the ground alone?
Or is its silent companion the very air we breathe?
There is a pain inside me which bears fruit only.......
when you are not here and I have no one to share my feelings
What exactly is loneliness? To me it is living without you
I feel it is that sense of hunger within a person.......
that desperate need felt by one for another of our kind
Sweetheart, existing alone without you frightens me
I sense loneliness is working its misery deep within my body.......
ever consuming my memory of you my beautiful Orchid Lady
Without you I feel as though I have entered an unending empty space
Please take away my loneliness as you are my every thought.
