Can you give me the answers to this thing they call life?>

I would give my heart and soul
to know what waits ahead
even in the form of a dream
as i rest my head

i just wanna understand
what my existence is for
is their any reason
that i cry on the floor

will things get better?
or will they stay the same?
will i always be this messed up
life just feels so lame?

can you please explain
why it is i breath
when in the end I'm hurt
and heart ache is all i receive

i want to know why to wake up
when I'd rather stay in bed
wondering why it is
that I'm so messed up in the head

does she hold the answers?
or is she as lost as me?
maybe being together
will help us simply see

if you can give me the answers
to the questions that i hold
please come forward and save me
no harm in being bold

if life will stay the same
my one wish is to fade away
for if this is my existence

so tonight i pray for a future
