I hold my breath under water,
as I swim along the banks of sand,
blue, crystal clear and cold streams,
blow all my problems away.
I touch the fishes and the turtles,
so at peace with the world,
all in jeopardy because of one thing,
the invasion of little alien me.
it becomes clear to me now,
that I've had a treasure chest,
right outside my window,
full of hopes and fears,
eager to make me learn.
and while the trees do what they do best,
the chipmunks sing in harmony,
as I softly sink to the ground,
put my head between my knees,
I realize that you're the one I should make mine,
we belong together.
