When I came home today you were ready to leave for work
Travelling home my thoughts had been centred on your loving touch
I had hoped my Orchid Lady and I would spend a little time together.....
then I saw you dressed in that wonderful blue jacket and my face fell.
Sadly I would be left at home alone without my one favourite best friend
A heartfelt tear slipped from my eyes and I tried to hide my face from you
Yet I failed, for as you lifted your face to kiss my lips with yours.......
your beautiful green eyes widened showing the concern you now felt for me.
I hadn't wished you to see me like this with my faded happy thoughts
But how do you tell the woman you love, the one woman who has no peer.......
she means more to you than your own life? - Yet I know your eyes had read this
Holding me closely to you I felt the grip of your hand reassuring me of your love.
Sweetheart, Now I fully understand my reason for naming you my Orchid Lady
Though I doubt if an orchid could bloom with more splendour than you possess
Am I greedy for wishing you to stay with me, or is my need merely a want of you?
Silently I know you are a wonder God put on this earth to progress humanity.
In you I have found a softness that has no equal; you are my pillar of foundation
During moments such as now you are here to share my thoughts and understanding
At times I spent alone and feeling lost you poured your own happiness into my lonely life
Sharing emotions, ideas and thoughts as together we both look into our future happiness.
Sweetheart, while you are working I shall continue to dream of you my beautiful angel
Dismissing the negative thoughts from my mind and replacing them with dreams of you
