I told her
"You're better than that"
In fact I remember screaming it
She just refused to listen

Everyday I'd raise my voice
"You're better than that"
I would yell

Her ears were welcoming
But her heart was always transparent
She didn't understand what I was trying to sell

Pouting and Pounding
Kicking and Screaming
She refused to believe my saying
Even when I tried praying

She never stopped to realize
She never stopped to see
She never stopped herself
From hanging from that tree

She floated there
Always ignoring my call
She was indeed better than that
I mean it was me after-all
