The Seven Deadly Sins

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Apr 22, 2008

Temptation, it's everywhere.
It collects our morals, silently.
It can make our lives seem unfair.
We thrash out against it violently.

Temptation we begin to trust,
a foolish thing to do.
It then begins to make us lust,
the sex it does accrue.

Gluttony is the next sin.
Ignoring the poor, it makes us feast.
Just like a pig in its pin.
The transformation, from man to beast.

After the previous sins, is greed.
Far too many materials here.
Wasted money. These things you don't need!
This sin you greatly austere.

Sloth begins to consume us all.
Laziness starts to take away our souls.
It makes us stumble and then crawl.
We begin to half ass our largest goals.

Envy takes over. Other's things we want.
We look at the others with hating desire.
"Such beautiful things!", temptation will taunt.
All that we want, they have. How might we acquire?

Pride makes us conceded, so vain.
Better than everyone we see.
Nothing, of ourselves, can we complain.
No one could be better. Me me me!

Judgment day for us is here.
Will you go to heaven or hell?
Some rejoice while others fear.
No one knows. Only God can tell.
