The Look Of Love

by Mr. Darcy   Apr 22, 2008

You look at me with pretty eyes,
you look at me, I know not why?

Two faces, staring, fair and true.
They want to stare, it's what they choose.

Canopies open to protect from what?
No element could tarnish what they have got.

Hustle and tussle, changing places.
Pitter, patter, pitter, rain on warm faces.

Innocence and beauty captured in one shower.
Two verging hearts, love's surging power.

I have to say......you have an act for taking something so simple and making it beautiful. I would never have looked at an umbrella like you've described. But now i will. I once thought of something.....a quote if you will and i'd like to share it with you "A great poet is not someone who can write about life.....it is someone who can take the simple things life has to offer and make them beautiful" whether it be words or whether it be drawings, you are good if you can do what you will with whatever you have. You are talented my friend. Embrace it for it is beauty and intelligence.
    thanks
