Most Bittersweet Pill I'll Ever Choke On

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Apr 23, 2008

I like you, but
You don't like me back
Bittersweet moments
Lack of colour turning black

All of these moments
So bittersweet
Softest kisses in the rain
Down a moonlit street

Right then I wake up
The bitter sets in
Give you a hug
And the sweet's here again

Then let you go
You'll never be mine
Bitter's here to stay
Stay until next time

Next time you smile
Next time I dream
Of soft moonlit lakes
One more love poem or theme

But I always wake up
Crushes shoot to kill
Falling for someone
Choke down one more bittersweet pill

"This medicine is just what you deserve.
Swallow, choke, and die...
And this bitter pill is leaving you...
With it's measure only equal by the power of my stare
glaring over you and over you this feeling of despair
is never wearing out..."
~This Bitter Pill - Dashboard Confessional!!
