Yesterday

by Prasad Baadkar   Apr 23, 2008

You said, the letter you posted me yesterday
the postman denies of such a horrible thing even today.

This is how the rain of your false emotions
Fell & vanished everywhere yesterday.

The milk, Ya I boiled it for you but forgot to say
it turned but too sour yesterday.

I even lit the Night sky & made it moonstruck for you
Sorry to say, all the sky with the stars went full blank yesterday.

Enough of your betrayals & false promises
you were still forgiven with fair chances to improve yesterday.

There was a time O queen of arts when you reined my life supreme
someone else is my heartbeat today.

I think you did an excellent job to describe how one feels when people mistreat us. Mostly hateful things on world are lying, betraying, cheating.

Good job, keep on writing. :)

A very touching poem and the part about false promises I exspecially liked...it seems so unfair when someone promises something and shatters your hopes simply by not sticking to that promise....I never understand those who do that....is it that they get pleasure from hurting someone in that way?
